From Non-Becoming (Anatta) to True Care is an invitation to soften the boundaries of who we think we are and rest in luminous openness— the natural clarity of awareness itself. When the self loosens its grip, a quiet spaciousness appears: wide, tender, and naturally responsive. In this offering we will explore anatta not as the fading of a person, but as the unveiling of the ground where presence expresses itself as care. Through stillness and Insight Dialogue practice, we will touch the moment where clinging to identity dissolves and compassion arises effortlessly, like warmth from the sun.
Mipham Rinpoche describes the nature of mind in a way that speaks directly to the heart of anatta: “If you wonder what this is like, it is empty in essence, beyond conceptual reference; it is cognizant by nature, spontaneously present; and it is all-pervasive and unobstructed in its compassionate energy.” — The Essence of Mind
Our aspiration is to explore this terrain with sincerity and to share what we discover in a way that supports each of us on this path. Our time together will include a guided meditation, a short talk on the subject, and plenty of space for practice supported by the Insight Dialogue guidelines. We will also weave in somatic practices in this exploration of anatta and true care.
All are welcome, no registration necessary. Some meditation experience recommended.
