In the darkening days of December, when the bright buzz of the “Christmas shopping season” can lure even the most well-intentioned soul, Advent lights a candle and invites us to sit. To cultivate stillness. To turn the expectant eye of faith towards the horizon, attuned to the coming of Christ in and around us. During this Advent evening of prayer, we’ll keep company with several Biblical women who model the holy waiting to which we are called: a waiting with courage, patience, and trust in God’s promise. Come sit at their feet, learn from their wisdom, and share your own!

Christine Marie Eberle is a writer, speaker, and retreat leader who passionately connects spirituality, Scripture, and everyday life. A long-time friend of Cranaleith, Christine served as Director of Campus Ministry at Gwynedd Mercy University from 2004–2019.
